I would also like to thank my CA, Zeina Klayme for emceeing the event with Ray Anjoul, a fellow constituent who is always there for us to lend a helping hand.

In addition, I want to thank my office staff (Zeina, Gail and Rebecca), and the volunteers, for putting together this amazing event. The evening went smoothly because of their efforts.

If you were in attendance, you know that having local 12-year-old pianist, Devin Huang, was quite the treat. Devin played three classical pieces… off by heart. We are so lucky to have such a talent in our community and city. I know he will go on to accomplish many incredible things.

Thank you to Samer Al-Jokhadar, a Syrian-Refugee and the owner of ‘Booza Emessa,’ who treated us with his delicious ice cream. The ice cream shop will open on June 15th at 819 Bedford Highway. Samer specializes in pistachio ice cream, which is extremely popular in the Middle East. Let’s all support this new entrepreneur and wish him great success!
