We had a great turnout for our 10th and final clean-up of the season.
The Code Ninjas team partnered up with us to tackle: Lacewood Drive, the Korean War Memorial area, the linear trail and the neighbouring streets around Park West School.
It was such a delight to have so many kids and their parents join us. They all worked very hard and were excited to use our trash-pickers.
Neighbours honked, waved and shouted from their cars to thank us for making Clayton Park West the cleanest riding.
As you can see in the photos, Clayton Park West looks a lot cleaner than in past years!
I am so proud of how this initiative has taken off — and we can’t wait to do it all again next Spring.
The Litter Prevention Committee will continue to meet once a month to work on the educational aspect, which is just as important as the clean-ups; our objective is to reduce the amount of garbage in our beautiful #ClaytonParkWest community.
Thank you to every volunteer who helped us during our clean-ups over the Summer and today. It wouldn’t have been the same without you.
A special thank you to #CodeNinjas for encouraging the children to get involved — you are teaching them to have pride in their community!
