30 Aug 2nd Annual Mosaic Festival
I was happy to attend opening night for the 2nd Annual Mosaic Festival of Arts and Culture at Pier 21, this evening.
We were treated to six short films from around the world. These areas included: Afghanistan, China, Winnipeg and right here at home in Nova Scotia.
The filmmakers were able to submit their work to share their journey and cultural identity.
The winning films were hand-chosen by the programming committee, which is steered by Israel Ekanem.
Some of the award categories were: Best International Feature film, Best Actor in an International Short Film and Best Original Music.
Thank you to Ifeanyi Emesih, Daniel Diab, Elsy Makhlouf, Sylvia Gawad, and the entire Mosaic Team who have brought this wonderful festival to life for another year.
It is so important to support and unite newcomers in Nova Scotia and to celebrate diversity!
