10 Aug Clean-up with Lacewood Sobeys Team
It was a beautiful afternoon for our 6th community clean-up; Our first clean-up began on April 26, and we are amazed at how this initiative has taken off!
Today we headed out with the Lacewood Sobeys team, branching out into teams to tackle Tremont Plateau Park, Veterans Corner, Belchers Marsh, Parkland Drive and Dunbrack Street.
We received a few complaints about the garbage at Tremont Park, and were able to do its entirety; It truly made such a difference, and we were overjoyed to see all the greenery with no distractions!
We ended up collecting 17 bags of garbage in total in the three hours we were out!
Our office has started a Litter Prevention Committee. We will soon be making a Facebook Page where you can sign up as a member and join us at our clean-ups! Until then, please notify our office of any garbage by sending an email regarding the specific area at: Rafah@RafahDicostanzo.com.
My office is keen on achieving our objective of making Clayton Park West the cleanest riding in Nova Scotia.
I am so encouraged by the comments I have received from so many constituents about the signs, and how pleased the community is with our initiative!
