Flu Shot Now Available

Countless people endure health complications each year because of the flu.

The best way of protecting yourself is by getting vaccinated.

All Nova Scotians are encouraged to get their annual flu shot.

 

It is not only safe, but free of charge and available from most:

-Family doctors

-Family practice nurses

-Nurse practitioners

-Pharmacists

-Walk-in clinics

 

Anyone six months of age or older can get the vaccination. It is very important to do so, especially those at high risk.

Nova Scotians are encouraged to get vaccinated anytime from now to mid-December to get the full benefit before flu season arrives.

Please note that the vaccine can take up to two weeks in order to provide protection.

Nova Scotia will receive 447,200 doses of the flu shot this year.
