Initiative to help the homeless.

Last week, I was reading the local newspaper and came across a section about a 10-year-old boy from Spryfield who has started an incredibly selfless initiative to help the homeless!

I was so inspired by his story that I reached out immediately to see how I could help — and spread awareness. I offered him my recyclables.

On Saturday, Hunter Gilmour and I had the chance to meet up and chat while he collected the recyclables (with our masks on).

Hunter told me that he wanted to raise money to provide food to our city’s homeless population through: Souls Harbour Rescue Mission.

Hunter feels that if you are homeless — you must be hungry; he felt he needed to help these vulnerable members of our community ❤️🙏

Every $4.85 is enough to feed one person.

If you want to help Hunter achieve his goal and raise $500, and donate your bottles, please email him at: huntergbottles@hotmail.com

I am so proud to have met Hunter and his father, Doug. It’s stories like these that warm my heart 🥰 I know he will inspire many others to do the same!
