08 Mar International Women’s Day Conference Halifax 2020
I was honoured to attend the International Women’s Day Conference Halifax 2020 today at the Halifax Marriott Hotel on behalf of Premier Stephen McNeil; speakers and attendees gathered to share their experiences as women in the workforce.
The conference was conducted by the one and only, Ifeoma Esonwune, founder of the Network for the Empowerment of Women in my riding.
This event is just one of many events that Ifeoma holds throughout the year to encourage and inspire her peers.
Booths were situated in the hall as resources for the guests, which included: Mortgage Alliance, the Safe Home Revolution and Creative Destruction Lab Atlantic.
However, I think the highlight of everyone’s day was listening to keynote speaker, Precious L. Williams. Precious is an author, a coach and the CEO of Perfect Pitches by Precious. Her vibrant and energetic personality spoke to so many of us in the audience, and truly gave us a boost of confidence.
Light refreshments, as well as tea and coffee were served.
