On June 26, I was happy to join another cleanup initiative, Mount Saint Vincent University’s Earth Day Summer Social.
The group planned two cleanups for today; One on-site and one off-site in Africville.
I am happy to say that the trails around the university had very little garbage, so Zeina and I joined the tree-planting team instead.
Our group planted 6 hydrangea trees in total and I cannot wait to see how they blossom over time.
I am always encouraged when we do not find a lot of litter to pick up!
After everyone’s hard work, a delicious barbecue meal was prepared for all the volunteers.
