Our dear friend, the Honourable Geoff Regan, announced that he will not be re-offering in the next Federal Election.

Geoff has served in public office for almost three decades. He was elected and served as Speaker of the House of Commons in 2015 (for four years).
Geoff graduated law school with my husband, John, back in 1983. It was the 100th anniversary of Dalhousie Law School — a memorable milestone — thus the photo in my husband’s office … the young Geoff with hair 😀
I treasure the time I spent knocking on doors with Geoff, he showed me the value of democracy in our beautiful country.

Over the past 4 years, he has given me sound advice that I will take with me to the next election.
It is evident how much Geoff loved serving the diverse community of Halifax West. He is loved by so many people from different cultures and backgrounds.

I have looked up to Geoff; he is the epitome of kindness, and humbleness. I know he will be missed in Ottawa, and so much more here in the Halifax West riding.

He will always be an icon for many young, and older, liberal politicians.
Thank you Geoff for being my mentor and for your service.
