22 Oct Visit to Manuela’s Cakery

Today, Zeina (CA) and I visited Manuela’s Cakery.

Manuela Cickai makes traditional European sweets.

She was so hospitable; when we arrived she made us her Chocolate Orange Delight.

Manuela makes a variety of these mouthwatering treats, including: pretzels, cakes, a variety of pastries, salty doughs — among many others — from her home business!

I was more than happy to present her with a certificate. Manuela told us that this was the first certificate that she had ever received in her life… and that it meant so much to her.

Manuela is originally from Croatia, and has been in the province for 6 years; she moved in September of 2014 with her three children.

Zeina and I ordered some treats for this weekend, and we cannot wait to share them with our family and friends. We are fortunate to have talented women entrepreneurs like Manuela reside in #ClaytonParkWest who enrich our community!
