17 Jan Women Unlimited: Trades and Technology

If you’re a woman living in the Halifax Regional Municipality, and looking for a new opportunity, then Women Unlimited: Trades and Technology is for you.

And the required qualifications are:
-Show an interest in trades and technology
-Not currently in school, or other forms of training
-Unemployed, under-employed (less than 20hrs a week)
-Grade 12 certificate
-Eligible to work in Canada
-Able to attend around 14-weeks of programs
-Have an employment assessment
-Able to commit to a long-term intervention ( between 3-5 Years)
-Have had some form of trade or technology exposure

The program offers, and will help you achieve:
-14 Week Career Exploration Program, which explores careers in trades in technology
-Strengthens math and technical skills
-Helps to build your personal portfolio
-Helps make career decisions that are best for you, among many other attributes.

The program begins in March. 

Women Unlimited is a non-profit women’s organization in Nova Scotia that works with governments, educational institutions and the community to address systemic obstacles that limit women in these industries.
