03 Nov YWCA Employability Program – Apply Today!

I am excited to share information about an important employment program offered by the YWCA Halifax.

The Launch program is a paid employability program for young women and gender diverse youth (aged 15-30) who are currently out of school, unemployed or underemployed, and face multiple barriers to employment.

The program runs for 19 weeks; 7-week paid virtual training to develop employability skills and a 12-week paid placement in the field of women’s interest.

The YWCA will lend laptops for those who need it for the 7-week virtual training.

Individuals are paid $13/hour and many who have participated in past iterations of the program have secured employment after the training.

Individuals receive one-on-one support throughout the program.
