07 Mar A Different Stage of Mind Fundraiser
A Different Stage of Mind has been a major fundraiser by the Mental Health Foundation for the last 17 years, and took place at the Halifax Convention Centre last night.
The mission of the evening is to invite community leaders to participate on stage in support of those living with mental illness.
So much effort went into organizing this event; It was presented by the Bank of Montreal.
Many first responder employees played the Village People and there were outstanding performances of singing and acrobatics!
The Conter family won the People’s Choice Award for the family that raised the most money for Mental Health.
Mayor Mike Savage did a wonderful job as master of ceremonies, along with Starr Dobson.
Over $440,000 was raised last evening.
Thank you to everyone who attended and supported; you shined a light on ending the stigma towards mental health.
