Medal of Bravery Nominations Open

Nominations for the Medal of Bravery are now open.

Nova Scotians are able to nominate those who put themselves at risk to help others or protect property.

“Nova Scotians who put their own safety at risk to help others deserve our gratitude and recognition,” said Premier Stephen McNeil.

“I encourage Nova Scotians to nominate their fellow citizens whose bravery is deserving of this award.”

The nomination forms are now available at Access Nova Scotia centres and at www.novascotia.ca/bravery .

The deadline to nominate an individual is May 1, and the acts of bravery that happened on the date of, or after, Jan. 1, 2016 are eligible for nomination.

Completed nomination forms should be sent to: Provincial Secretary, Medal of Bravery, Department of Justice, 7th floor, 1690 Hollis St., Halifax, N.S., B3J 2L6.
