Military Family Appreciation Day

Today, Nova Scotia celebrates our second annual Military Family Appreciation Day. This year has been particularly challenging for members of our armed forces – and many are unaware of the sacrifices our military families make while their loved ones are on missions abroad – and here at home. As the Chair of the Provincial Veterans Affairs Committee, this appreciation day is very close to my heart.

While they may not wear the uniform – they are just as courageous and play an incredibly important role in the journey of active members across our province. Our military families deserve our sincere thanks and appreciation for supporting the safety and protection of all Canadians.
