Pride Month – BE PROUD!

June is Pride Month – a time for all of us to celebrate individuality, authenticity and acceptance throughout Nova Scotia. We celebrate pride in commemoration of the 1969 Stonewall Riots, which many consider to be the birth of a movement dedicated to the uplifting of LGBTQ voices, the celebration of LGBTQ culture, and the support of LGBTQ rights.

Throughout the month of June – across our province there have traditionally been parades, performances, live theatre, memorials and celebrations. While things may look different this year because of COVID-19, that does not mean that we can’t find other ways to recognize our LGBTQ community who came together to collectively change the world. #BEPROUD
