10 Jan Province Seeking Input on proposed Protected Wilderness Areas

I am happy to share the following update on protected lands in Nova Scotia.
On January 10th, my colleague and Environment Minister, Gordon Wilson launched public consultations on six new protected areas.
Minister Wilson went on to say that such protected areas help preserve natural habitats and provide a chance for education, recreation and tourism.
Nova Scotia designated 17 new protected areas back in September, and noted more once consultation work was complete.
