Remembrance Day Ceremony, Korean War Veterans Memorial

Every year in Honour of Remembrance Day, I attend the Korean War Veterans Memorial Service on Stratford Way.

It is always a pleasure to lay a wreath out of respect to those who served our country. There was an incredible turnout, and the weather did cooperate!

I would like to take this time to thank all of the Canadian Veterans, service men and women, and their families — because of you, we are all able to live freely and speak freely.

A beautiful performance of, ‘A Pittance of Time,’ was sung by Terry Kelly. And once again, there was the release of the white doves; A meaningful tradition and addition to the spirit of remembrance.

Thank you to David Deveau, Nicole Mosher and Paula Steenken for putting this well-organized event together, and thank you to J.A. Snow Funeral Home for providing a space afterwards for all the attendees to go and enjoy a small reception with warm drinks and treats.

Lest We Forget.
