The Lady Ball Halifax 2019

I had the most incredible time walking in the fashion show for this years Lady Ball, hosted by Ovarian Cancer Canada.

I was joined by a long list of incredible women, ranging from politicians, a makeup artist, a singer, an RCMP officer and so many more; I was also joined by many of my colleagues — Premier Stephen McNeil, Minister of Community Services, Kelly Regan, Minister of Immigration, Lena Metlege Diab, MLA for Cumberland North, Elizabeth Smith-McCrossin, MP Geoff Regan and MP Andy Fillmore.

The Lady Ball is put on to bring awareness to the terrible disease that is said to effect 2,800 women this year alone! Ovarian cancer is the most dangerous cancer found in women, which is why it is so important that we find a cure.

The event raised 170,000 dollars to help women who are fighting this disease; An amount that deserved the standing ovation by all who attended!

I am truly honoured to have been a part of an evening dedicated to helping the lives of others; There was an abundance of love and support in the room — and it was felt by all.

Thank you!
